Product Parameter Product Details

A PVC tarp’s longevity depends on how properly you treat it. If you keep it dirty and wet for long periods of time, it’s going to wear out quickly. PVC tarps normally last a very long time with proper care.

Maintaining tarp care is easier than you might imagine, but you need to determine the type of tarp that you have first. Once you know, you need to find out the best way to clean it.

PVC Tarp is pretty easy to clean. You only need to use mild soap as your cleaner. One example is the Blue Dawn Dish Soap. It’s effective at removing grime and stubborn dirt from the tarp. Most of the time, dishwashing soap works wonders on cleaning PVC Tarps.

First, wet the surface with water. Then, create a sudsy solution by putting drops of the soap on the tarp and spraying it with water from the hose. Let’s the soap solution sit on the tarp for 10 to 15 minutes. While doing so, you can start using a soft-bristle brush or sponge to loosen the dirt and grime. Try not to walk all over the tarp while washing it to keep it from getting dirtier. It would be better if you have a pool brush on a telescoping handle. Be extra gentle in washing around grommets so they don’t come off.

After scrubbing the PVC tarp, rinse thoroughly with the water hose. Hose is better to use than the bucket because its spray has more pressure thus helping in removing stuck dirt and pushing the dirty water away from the PVC tarp. Dry it on two clotheslines parallel each other to avoid the sides in sticking together. Make sure both surfaces are dry before folding and storing it away.
